Blood pressure - blood pressure is important because the higher your blood pressure is, the higher your risk of health problems in the future. Some of the ways BP can be controlled is by eating a healthy diet, limiting the amount of alcohol you drink and exercising regularly.
Resting pulse - the resting heart rate is how fast your heart beats outside of any physical activity, when all your heart has to do is keep your basic body functions running. It is also an excellent indicator of your overall fitness.
Aerobic fitness - this can be any exercise that raises your heart rate and breathing such as walking, jogging, swimming, rowing, skating, cycling, and dancing (just to name a few). Why is it important? Improves sleeps patterns, reduces blood pressure & stress levels and a reduced risk of developing many lifestyle diseases.
Grip strength - why is it important? Improves your ability to do everyday activities, reduces blood pressure, increase calorie burn and decreases your risk of osteoporosis.
Body composition - body composition is used to describe the percentages of fat, bone, water and muscle in human bodies. Training can be very effective in changing muscle and fat distribution and proportions within the body. Why is it important? Excess fat in relation to lean body mass can greatly increase your risks to cardiovascular dis- ease, diabetes and more.
